Mohan Charan Majhi Reflects on a Year of Service as Odisha's Chief Minister

A Year of Commitment to the People
Bhubaneswar, June 12 - On Thursday, Mohan Charan Majhi emphasized that his primary mission is to serve the citizens of Odisha, marking one year since the BJP government took office.
Majhi was sworn in as the chief minister on June 12, 2024, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance.
Reflecting on the past year, he stated, "Today marks a year since we formed the government, thanks to the blessings of Lord Jagannath and your unwavering support. Under the leadership of our respected Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi, I assumed the role of Chief Minister for our beloved Odisha."
He continued, "My sole aim is to serve the people... I have consistently worked and will continue to work to address your concerns as a volunteer, educator, sarpanch, MLA, and now as chief minister," in a message shared on X.
Majhi highlighted June 12 as a pivotal moment in Odisha's political landscape, where the BJP received a mandate after displacing what he termed an "event management government" led by the BJD.
"In just one year, we have made significant strides, but our most notable achievement is instilling hope that even a child from a humble background can aspire to become chief minister one day," he remarked.
"Upon taking office, I declared that our government represents the people. Therefore, I strive to engage with you, comprehend your challenges at the grassroots level, and work diligently to address them," Majhi concluded.
