On August 6, RSS Chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat will engage in a dialogue with the youth from 'Gen Z' and 'Gen Alpha' in Mumbai. This event is expected to attract over 2,000 students from more than 100 cities, marking it as one of the largest youth-driven conferences globally. The session will take place at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) and will also serve as the inaugural ceremony for the annual championship conference of the International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN), which is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.

A Platform for Young Leaders

The conference will bring together high school students aged 15 to 19 from various schools and colleges across India. This gathering comes at a time when young individuals are increasingly participating in discussions about democracy, leadership, and nation-building. Rishabh Shah, the founder of IIMUN, emphasized the significance of listening to the younger generation during this pivotal moment in India's journey.

The Importance of Leadership Dialogue

Shah remarked that leadership involves not only guiding the next generation but also actively listening to them. He expressed gratitude to Mohan Bhagwat for accepting the invitation to address the assembly at this crucial juncture. Bhagwat's speech will kick off IIMUN's main annual championship conference, where students will debate and discuss local, national, and international issues.

IIMUN's Mission and Impact

Founded in 2011 by Shah, IIMUN positions itself as a public affairs platform aimed at promoting the idea of 'India' and preparing youth for leadership roles. The organization runs programs for students aged 11 to 19, managed by young leaders aged 15 to 24. Annually, it hosts 108 conferences and facilitates thousands of civic engagement and community intervention initiatives led by youth. Over the past 15 years, many participants and organizers have gone on to become elected representatives, civil servants, writers, lawyers, actors, and business leaders.
