Clarifying the RSS's Distinct Identity

Mohan Bhagwat, the leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has made significant remarks regarding the perceptions surrounding the organization's image and functioning. Speaking at the 'Vyakshan Mala' event in Kolkata, he emphasized that viewing the RSS solely through the lens of politics or as merely a service organization leads to misunderstandings.

Bhagwat pointed out that many individuals mistakenly associate the RSS exclusively with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which he described as a major error. He asserted that the RSS possesses its own independent and expansive identity. The primary goal of the organization is to cultivate morally upright individuals who contribute to national development through selfless service and strong values.

In celebration of the RSS's centenary, various events are being organized in Siliguri and Kolkata, attracting participation from a diverse range of society, including doctors, lawyers, former officials, and youth.

During discussions with young people, Bhagwat emphasized the importance of adopting eternal cultural values and self-reliance to strengthen national security.
