Prime Minister Modi's Address to BJP Workers

New Delhi, Mar 30: On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the significant transformation in Assam over the last decade, attributing this change to the efforts of the BJP's double-engine government aimed at restoring peace in the region.

Modi remarked, "Assam has experienced a long period of turmoil, but the situation has improved significantly in the past ten years. Today, we witness a renewed sense of confidence as our government has worked tirelessly for peace," during his address to BJP booth-level workers in Assam as part of the initiative titled 'Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot Samvaad'.

The Prime Minister urged BJP members to remind the public of the Congress party's history of making agreements that were merely superficial and aimed at garnering media attention.

He highlighted that the BJP government has successfully signed 12 peace agreements with various organizations in the Northeast, contrasting this with the Congress's failure to address peace during its tenure, which he claimed left the youth vulnerable to unrest.

Modi stated, "Under Congress rule, no agreements with insurgent groups or student organizations were effective. The Congress party let down the Bodo community. In contrast, the BJP has actively worked to foster peace and secure a brighter future for the youth. Our commitment to implementing peace agreements is evident, and Assam has seen the positive outcomes of our sincere efforts over the past decade."

He underscored the importance of peace as a fundamental requirement for the development of any state.

Additionally, Modi expressed his support for the BJP-NDA government's aim for a 'hat-trick' victory in Assam.

"I extend my greetings to the dedicated workers of Assam BJP. I consider myself one of you. I take my responsibilities seriously, and today, I am grateful for the chance to connect with you at the booth level. I recognize your commitment to the motto 'Mera Booth Sabse Mazboot'," he stated.

Furthermore, Modi advised the Assam BJP workers to be vigilant against misleading AI-generated videos circulating in the state.

The elections for the 126-member Assam Assembly are scheduled for April 9, with the BJP-led NDA government having been in power since 2016.
