On March 2, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address the intensifying situation in West Asia, expressing India's apprehensions regarding the recent events.

During their discussion, Modi emphasized the importance of prioritizing civilian safety and reiterated India's call for an immediate halt to hostilities.

In a social media update, Modi stated, "I had a telephone call with PM Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the current regional situation. I conveyed India's concerns over recent developments and stressed that the safety of civilians must be a priority. India reiterates the need for an early cessation of hostilities."

Earlier, on Sunday night, Modi also reached out to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, condemning the attacks on the Gulf nation and expressing solidarity during these challenging times.

Reports from UAE authorities indicated that an Indian citizen was among 58 individuals who suffered minor injuries due to Iranian military strikes targeting the UAE.

The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi confirmed awareness of the situation and is coordinating with hospital officials, stating, "The Indian national is out of danger. We are providing all possible assistance."

The UAE Ministry of Defence reported that three individuals lost their lives and 58 others were injured in the attacks, which included nationals from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh among the deceased, while the injured comprised both Emirati and foreign nationals, including Indians.

Details regarding the specific location of the injury sustained by the Indian national have not been disclosed by authorities.

The UAE defence ministry further revealed that its military had intercepted 165 ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles, and 541 drones launched by Iran since the onset of the offensive.

"A total of 541 Iranian drones were detected, with 506 intercepted and destroyed, while 35 fell within the country, causing material damage," the ministry stated.

These Iranian strikes were a response to attacks carried out by the United States and Israel on Iranian targets the previous Saturday, heightening tensions in the region.
