Mizoram's Anti-Corruption Bureau Annual Report Highlights
Chief Minister Lalduhoma released the maiden annual report at the Chief Minister’s Conference Hall.
Aizawl, July 3: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Mizoram has successfully convicted 112 individuals across 35 corruption cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act over the past 16 years, as detailed in its inaugural annual report for 2025-2026, unveiled on Thursday.
The report indicated that in the fiscal year 2025-2026, the Bureau received 17 complaints regarding corruption. Out of these, 15 were subjected to preliminary investigations, resulting in the filing of six formal cases. Additionally, the Bureau completed 14 preliminary inquiries, including those pending from earlier years, and resolved seven regular cases during this timeframe.
Chief Minister Lalduhoma presented the first annual report at the Chief Minister’s Conference Hall.
During the event, the Chief Minister emphasized that the report serves as a crucial reminder for government officials to maintain integrity, accountability, and transparency in their public duties. He identified corruption as a significant barrier to effective governance and the overall progress of the State, underscoring that combating corruption is a shared duty of both government officials and the public.
He noted that the State Government has bolstered the Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Mizoram Lokayukta to intensify efforts against corruption, expressing confidence that the personnel of both organizations will continue to enhance their professional skills.
