Discovery of Explosive Materials in Himachal Pradesh

Authorities have reported the recovery of missile components and shell fragments from two districts in Himachal Pradesh. This information was disclosed on Saturday.

The officials noted that three explosions were heard in the forested areas of Kangra district. This incident comes against the backdrop of heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following Operation Sindoor, although both nations agreed to a ceasefire on Saturday evening.

According to a statement from the police headquarters, initial investigations revealed missile parts at the explosion site in the Damtal area of Kangra district, confirmed by defense personnel. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but two livestock were found dead, bushes were burned, and power lines were damaged.

Additionally, a suspicious object was discovered in Behad village of Una district. Officials reported that an explosion was heard around 1:30 AM on Saturday, approximately 10 kilometers from the Chintpurni temple.

At that time, the area experienced a blackout, coinciding with attempts by the Pakistani army to target Indian establishments. This village is adjacent to Punjab, which shares a 532-kilometer border with Pakistan.

Local residents spotted the object in the morning and alerted the police. The district administration stated that preliminary investigations indicated the object was unarmed, although a team of experts is currently examining it.

The police have cordoned off the area and advised locals to remain vigilant and avoid approaching such objects. Reports indicate that residents in Hamirpur spent the night awake after hearing military aircraft around 2 AM.

Hamirpur's Deputy Commissioner Amarjeet Singh has instructed all departments to stay alert and be prepared for any emergencies. He urged the public to refrain from spreading misinformation on social media and to be cautious of fake news and videos generated by artificial intelligence.
