At a recent event held at Shiv Shankar Palace in Lab Bhanei, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Prof. Chander Kumar honored the newly elected representatives from all panchayats within the Jawali Assembly constituency. The ceremony included the presentation of shawls and caps to ward members, vice-pradhans, pradhans, BDC members, and Zila Parishad members as a gesture of respect.



During his address, Prof. Kumar highlighted the trust placed in these representatives by the public, urging them to prioritize service over politics. He called for a commitment to honesty, impartiality, and dedication to foster development in their respective areas, emphasizing the need for inclusive participation from all societal segments.



The minister also urged the leaders to take a strong stance against the illegal drug trade, which he described as a significant threat to society and the youth's future. He encouraged collaboration with local administration and law enforcement to combat this issue effectively.



Prof. Kumar instructed the Block Development Officer to compile a comprehensive report on unutilized funds across all panchayats in the constituency, stressing the importance of utilizing existing resources efficiently before seeking additional allocations. He reminded pradhans to wield their authority responsibly, ensuring governance is transparent and accountable.



He underscored the critical role of empowered panchayat institutions in driving rural development, expressing confidence that the newly elected representatives would meet public expectations with dedication.



Additionally, selected farmers received spray pumps during the event, with Prof. Kumar encouraging them to take advantage of government initiatives and modern agricultural practices.



The ceremony was attended by notable figures including SDM Narendra Jaryal, BDO Manoj Sharma, Municipal Vice President A.V. Pathania, Block Congress President Chain Singh Guleria, Congress spokesperson Sansar Singh Sansari, and other local leaders, alongside a significant number of newly elected representatives and community members.
