As the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 approaches, USA cricketer Milind Kumar has pointed out that Abhishek Sharma will be a crucial player to watch during their match against India on February 7. The 25-year-old Sharma, who currently holds the title of World No. 1 T20I batter, has amassed 1,297 runs in 38 matches, including two centuries and eight half-centuries. In the recent five-match T20I series against New Zealand, he was the third-highest run-scorer with a total of 182 runs, featuring two half-centuries.
About Milind Kumar
Milind Kumar was part of the USA squad in the last T20 World Cup but did not get the opportunity to play. Before his move to the USA, he represented Delhi and Sikkim in the Ranji Trophy, India's domestic cricket tournament. He has also been associated with the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL), although he did not play any matches.
In the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy season, Milind was the leading run-scorer and played for Delhi in the 2014 IPL season before joining RCB in 2019. He announced his retirement from Indian cricket in 2021 and subsequently signed with Minor League Cricket in the USA.
