Concerns Over Trusting Pakistan

On Saturday, Shiv Sena leader Milind Deora expressed that placing trust in Islamabad is akin to 'shaking hands with a grenade.' His remarks followed comments from Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who noted that despite an agreement between India and Pakistan to cease all forms of military action on land, air, and sea, explosions were still heard in Srinagar.

Government sources reported on Saturday night that Pakistan violated the bilateral agreement established earlier in the day, which called for an immediate halt to all types of military actions and firing.

In a post on social media platform 'X', Deora stated, 'When the world's largest terrorist syndicate is not just Lashkar-e-Taiba or Jaish-e-Mohammed, but the Pakistani government itself, then a ceasefire holds no significance.'

The former Union Minister reiterated that trusting Pakistan is like 'shaking hands with a grenade.' Earlier that day, military directors-general from both Pakistan and India had agreed to stop all forms of firing on land, air, and sea.
