Metro Stations in Central Delhi Remain Closed Amid Ongoing Protests

Metro Station Closures Due to Security Concerns

New Delhi, July 24 - Due to ongoing protests by the Cockroach People's Party (CAZPA) near Jantar Mantar, 17 metro stations in central Delhi will remain closed on Saturday for security reasons. This marks the fourth consecutive day of closures, as confirmed by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

The DMRC announced that these stations will be inaccessible to passengers starting from 7:30 AM until further notice. However, interchange facilities will still be available at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, and Central Secretariat stations.

The stations that will be closed include Lok Kalyan Marg, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhamba Road, Supreme Court, Seva Tirth, Janpath, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, ITO, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh, Shivaji Stadium, and Jhandewalan.

In light of the significant crowds at the protests occurring around Jantar Mantar and nearby areas, the administration has implemented stringent security measures throughout central Delhi.
