Meta Launches Gaming Accelerator to Boost India's Game Development Sector

Meta Gaming Accelerator: A New Era for Indian Game Developers
New Delhi, June 17: On Tuesday, Meta introduced the Meta Gaming Accelerator, an initiative aimed at fostering growth among small and medium-sized gaming developers in India.
The gaming industry in India is witnessing unprecedented growth, fueled by mobile-first engagement, a vibrant creator economy, and advancements in technologies like artificial intelligence.
"The gaming community in India is brimming with creativity and innovation. However, to fully realize its potential, we must connect talent with opportunities," stated Arun Srinivas, Managing Director and Head of Meta (India).
"This is the reason behind the launch of the Meta Gaming Accelerator, which will equip Indian developers with state-of-the-art advertising tools, expert mentorship, and essential guidance to expand their businesses and compete globally," he added.
This initiative is being rolled out in collaboration with four prominent venture capital firms: Bitkraft Ventures, Kalaari Capital, Lumikai Fund, and Elevation Capital.
During its initial phase, the program aims to support 20 to 30 emerging Indian developers and studios through a well-structured curriculum.
Participants will receive strategic advice on monetization, user acquisition, international scaling, and AI-driven game development, with a particular emphasis on integrating Meta’s AI tools, such as Llama, into their game design and optimization.
The program will culminate in a high-profile Demo Day, where developers will showcase how they have utilized Meta’s ecosystem to address real-world growth challenges.
This event will attract investors, Meta executives, and industry leaders, with top-performing studios potentially receiving platform-level promotion and funding opportunities to enhance their acquisitions using Meta solutions.
"By merging expert insights from Meta with structured support from leading Venture Capital firms, we aim to empower local success stories and create a launchpad for Indian gaming companies to expand on a global scale," Srinivas concluded.
