According to the latest updates from the ICC, Bangladesh's captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz has made impressive strides in the ICC Men's ODI Player Rankings. Alongside him, Pakistan's Salman Ali Agha and New Zealand's Mitchell Santner have also seen notable improvements in their rankings.
ODI Rankings Highlights
Mehidy Hasan Miraz showcased his talent during Bangladesh's recent ODI series against Pakistan, where he took five wickets, helping his team secure a 2-1 series win. As a result, he climbed nine positions to reach joint seventh among ODI bowlers and advanced two spots to second in the ODI all-rounders category.
Other players from Bangladesh also made significant advancements: Tanzid Hasan surged 31 places to 55th, while Litton Das improved by 10 spots to 82nd among batters. Additionally, Taskin Ahmed moved up 12 places to 28th, and Mustafizur Rahman ascended 13 spots in the bowlers' rankings.
Pakistan's Salman Ali Agha Shines
Salman Ali Agha from Pakistan also made a notable jump, climbing nine places to joint ninth among ODI batters and moving up three spots to joint 10th in the ODI all-rounders rankings. Shaheen Afridi improved his position by four places, now sitting at 25th among all-rounders after delivering strong bowling performances.
Mitchell Santner's T20I Success
In the T20I rankings, New Zealand's captain Mitchell Santner made significant gains following his impressive performances in the ongoing five-match home series against South Africa. He took three wickets and scored 35 runs in the first two matches, contributing to a series that currently stands at 1-1.
Santner jumped 11 places to 13th among T20I bowlers and moved up two spots to joint seventh in the T20I all-rounders rankings, achieving a new career-high rating.
Other Notable T20I Rankings Changes
New Zealand's Lockie Ferguson also saw improvement, climbing 18 places to 51st among T20I bowlers. Devon Conway rose four spots to 70th among T20I batters. From South Africa, George Linde jumped 11 places to 23rd in the T20I all-rounders rankings, while Ottneil Baartman moved up 23 places to 73rd among T20I bowlers.
