Significant Action Against Adulteration in Rajasthan

In a major crackdown on food adulteration, the Medical and Health Department of Rajasthan seized approximately 10,000 liters of vegetable ghee in Jaipur on Wednesday. This information was provided by the Food Department.


Dr. T. Shubhamangala, the Food Safety Commissioner, reported that a team led by Dr. Ravi Shekhawat, the Chief Medical and Health Officer (Jaipur First), conducted a raid at a factory located in Kukerkheda Mandi, resulting in the confiscation of 9,853 liters of vegetable ghee.


Additionally, during the operation, a sample of chili powder was collected from a grocery store in the VKIA (Vikas Nagar Industrial Area), where 150 kilograms of chili powder were also seized. The official mentioned that further actions will be taken once the testing reports of the samples are received.
