Fire Breaks Out in Ghaziabad Residential Tower

A significant incident unfolded on Wednesday morning at the Gaur Green Avenue Society in Vaibhav Khand, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, when a fierce blaze broke out on the ninth floor of a tall building. The flames quickly escalated, engulfing at least seven floors of the tower.

Rescue operations are still ongoing, but the society's infrastructure and narrow lanes have posed considerable challenges for firefighters.

Firefighters Struggle to Control the Blaze

The fire rapidly spread to both the upper and lower floors, severely affecting around seven levels. Despite continuous efforts, firefighters have been unable to bring the situation under control even after more than two and a half hours of battling the flames.

Challenges in Firefighting Efforts

The Uttar Pradesh Fire Service deployed hydraulic firefighting equipment to reach the upper floors; however, access limitations have significantly hindered rescue and firefighting efforts. The narrow road in front of the tower, where the society's park and limited entry points allow only one vehicle to pass, has made it difficult for large fire trucks and modern equipment to effectively reach the scene.

Concerns Over Structural Safety

As the fire continues to spread, concerns are mounting regarding the structural integrity of the building and potential damage to other floors. Emergency teams are present at the site, working tirelessly to control the fire and prevent further spread.

Chief Minister Takes Notice

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken serious note of the fire incident. He has instructed senior officials to reach the site immediately and ensure that rescue operations are conducted with utmost urgency.

Prioritizing Public Safety

Officials have been directed to expedite rescue efforts, prioritize public safety, and ensure that all necessary assistance is provided to those affected by the incident.

Recent Fire Incidents in Gautam Buddh Nagar

Authorities reported three separate fire incidents in different areas of Gautam Buddh Nagar on Monday and Tuesday nights. Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries or fatalities in any of these cases.

Around 2 PM, a fire broke out near Sector 76 Mandi, destroying two to three fruit and vegetable shops, along with garbage and scrap. Firefighters managed to control the blaze after their arrival.

In another incident, a fire ignited in flat number 1603 of Tower 8 at Nirala Estate in Ecotech-3, reportedly caused by a lit diya at a prayer site. The maintenance team of the society extinguished the fire using available firefighting equipment. The third incident occurred in the Surajpur area, where a gas leak from an IGL pipeline led to a fire that was promptly extinguished by firefighters and police, although the leak reportedly continued for some time.
