Massive Fire Breaks Out at Noida Company, Millions in Damages
Fire Incident in Noida's Sector 88
Late Monday night, a significant fire erupted at a company located in Sector 88 of Noida's Phase-2 police jurisdiction. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported, but the blaze resulted in extensive damage, with goods worth millions destroyed, according to an official.
Pradeep Kumar Choubey, the chief fire officer, reported that the fire ignited around midnight due to a short circuit in an electrical panel at Surabhi International, situated in Block B of Sector 88. The flames quickly engulfed the entire facility.
Upon receiving the alert, eight fire engines from the department arrived at the scene and worked tirelessly for approximately three hours to bring the fire under control.
Firefighters' Efforts to Control the Blaze
Given the severity of the fire, the fire department acted swiftly, dispatching a total of eight vehicles to the site. The firefighters demonstrated remarkable skill and urgency, managing to fully extinguish the flames after three hours of intense effort. The initial investigation suggests that the cause of the fire was indeed the short circuit in the electrical panel.
Assessment of Damage Underway
According to fire officials, the incident occurred when the company was closed for the night, meaning no employees were present inside. This fortunate timing prevented a potential tragedy, and there were no injuries reported. However, a significant amount of raw materials, finished products, and machinery within the factory were lost to the fire, leading to estimates of millions in damages. Fire and police teams are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the exact causes of the fire and are collaborating with the company management to finalize the damage assessment.
