Massive Fire Breaks Out at Mercedes Workshop in Jaipur, Destroying Luxury Cars
Fire Incident in Jaipur
Jaipur: A significant fire erupted late Tuesday night at a Mercedes workshop located in the Balaji Market of Sitapura, Jaipur. The blaze was so intense that it consumed approximately eight luxury vehicles, along with various accessories and expensive spare parts. Smoke from the fire was visible from nearly five kilometers away.
Details of the Incident
The fire broke out at the Mercedes workshop in Balaji Market, situated in the Sanganeer Sadar police jurisdiction. At the time of the incident, over 50 vehicles, both new and old, were parked inside the workshop. Due to the rapid spread of the flames, there was a risk of additional vehicles being affected; however, police and firefighters managed to evacuate several cars in time.
Firefighting Efforts
Upon receiving the alert, police and fire brigade teams promptly arrived at the scene. A total of 10 fire engines worked tirelessly for about two hours to bring the fire under control. To prevent the fire from spreading further, the electricity supply in the surrounding area was also cut off.
No Casualties Reported
Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries or fatalities resulting from this incident. Preliminary investigations suggest that the cause of the fire may have been a short circuit. The police and fire department are currently assessing the extent of the damage.
The SHO of Sanganeer Sadar police station stated that many vehicles were successfully moved to safety, which helped avert a more significant disaster.
