Massive Explosion Rocks Isfahan Amid Ongoing Conflict
Explosion in Isfahan Captured on Video
A significant explosion was recorded in Isfahan, Iran, following a series of airstrikes across the nation on Wednesday. The video footage shows a large fireball erupting in the sky, succeeded by a powerful blast and subsequent explosions. Reports from local sources indicate that the strikes targeted an ammunition depot or military site located on the city's outskirts. This escalation occurs amidst ongoing tensions involving Iran, the US, and Israel, despite indications of potential negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
Residents of Isfahan reported hearing multiple loud blasts after heavy bunker-busting munitions were deployed in mountainous regions near the city. These explosions triggered secondary detonations, marking some of the most intense activity since the conflict escalated over a month ago. Additionally, airstrikes were noted in Tehran, both before and after midnight, leading to temporary power outages due to damage to a major transmission line, although services were restored within hours.

Industrial zones in nearby Karaj and surrounding areas also faced attacks. The Israeli military has issued warnings for civilians to steer clear of certain parts of western Tehran, including the Vardavard region, in anticipation of further strikes. Iranian officials reported that a pharmaceutical facility, Tofigh Darou, sustained considerable damage from multiple projectiles. This facility is crucial to the domestic production of medicines in Iran. Since the conflict began on February 28, over 2,000 fatalities have been reported, alongside damage to residential neighborhoods, hospitals, schools, and historically significant sites. Recent strikes have also targeted what Iran claims are civilian nuclear sites, steel plants, petrochemical facilities, and educational institutions, including the Iran University of Science and Technology. The footage from Isfahan underscores the severity and intensity of the ongoing bombardment, raising concerns about a potential escalation in the region.
