Unexpected Cobra Encounter in Batesra Village
Kushinagar: A surprising incident unfolded in Batesra village, located in the Kasya block of Kushinagar, on Thursday when a group of snakes was discovered while clearing bricks and mud in a house. During renovation work, a cobra was spotted, and soon the number of snakes began to rise. The alarming sight of 25 cobras found in a single home sent shockwaves through the local community, drawing a crowd of villagers eager to witness the unusual event. The local forest department was alerted about the situation.
Details of the Incident: This unusual occurrence took place at the residence of Shukurullah, son of Aleem. While construction was underway, a person named Sahim noticed a large cobra and called others to inform them that more snakes were present. Among the snakes, one was significantly larger, while the others were juveniles. In a state of panic, the villagers contacted snake rescuer Shatrudhan Yadav through village head Mohan Lal Gupta. Upon arrival, the rescuer carefully removed the bricks and mud, successfully extracting one large cobra along with 24 baby cobras. Following the rescue, the snakes were relocated to the forest.
Safe Release into the Wild: During the rescue operation, it was discovered that one large cobra had already died after being trapped under the bricks, while the rest were safely released into the wilderness. The snake rescuer urged the villagers not to harm snakes if they encounter them in the future.
