A significant tree plantation drive has been initiated by Chinmaya Gramin Vikas Khand, Siddhbari Tapovan, in honor of the 75th anniversary of the esteemed teachings of Param Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmaya Nanda Ji. As part of this initiative, two saplings were distributed to each of the two lakh women involved.

This extensive campaign spans 184 panchayats across 11 blocks in the Kangra district. Organizers report that approximately 56,000 women from various groups are participating in the planting of these saplings. Each planting event is accompanied by chanting in Gurudev’s honor, recitation of the Geeta Panchamrit, and traditional rituals to bless the saplings before they are planted.

Additionally, the Chinmaya Mahotsav includes a variety of cultural and spiritual activities, such as Kod Bhavan, Hanuman Yajna, and Geeta Panchamrit sessions held in different panchayats. The organizers emphasize that this initiative not only pays tribute to Gurudev’s enduring legacy but also fosters community involvement in environmental stewardship.
