Minister Reviews Patient Care
Punjab's Cabinet Minister, Barinder Kumar Goyal, visited the civil hospital in Moonak to assess the treatment being provided to those who fell ill after consuming food at the wedding. He engaged with the hospitalized patients to gather information about their health and directed officials to ensure uninterrupted medical services and immediate care for all affected individuals. Goyal emphasized that health department and administrative officials must keep a vigilant watch on the situation until every patient has fully recovered.
Health Department Takes Action

The treatment process was expedited, and specialized medical teams were summoned from various towns to provide enhanced care. Some patients were also transferred to Sangrur for better treatment. Goyal confirmed that 72 individuals were admitted to both government and private hospitals after the wedding meal.
He further noted that medical teams from Kohrian, Sangrur, Bhawanigarh, and Lehragaga are actively involved in treating the patients, and a specialized medical team from Patiala is also en route to the Moonak hospital.

He stressed that any negligence in providing medical care to the patients will not be tolerated. Additionally, three ambulances have been kept on standby to address any emergency situations. Patients admitted to the hospital have expressed satisfaction with the medical facilities being provided.
Call for Stricter Food Safety Regulations
