Arrival of Martyr Pawan Jaryal's Mortal Remains

The remains of Pawan Jaryal, a brave soldier hailing from Ward Number 4 in Shahpur, are set to return to his hometown on May 11. Jaryal made the ultimate sacrifice during the ongoing post-Operation Sindoor conflict.

Due to the current operational conditions at the border, the transfer of his body from Jammu has been rescheduled to 11:00 AM on May 11, 2025.

District administration officials have indicated that the precise timing for the funeral will be confirmed and communicated tomorrow, once the body is en route. The cremation will be conducted with full military honors in Shahpur, where arrangements are being made to ensure a respectful farewell for the martyr.

Originally stationed in Ambala, Pawan Jaryal had sought a transfer to a border area—a request that was fulfilled shortly before he heroically fought against Pakistani forces. His bravery has sparked a wave of sorrow and pride throughout Himachal Pradesh.

Local MLA Kewal Singh Pathania, who has been in contact with both the family and Army representatives, has verified the updated schedule and expressed his condolences, stating, “Pawan’s bravery and commitment will always be remembered. We stand with his family and honor his sacrifice.”

A significant turnout of security personnel, senior Army officials, and community members is anticipated to pay their respects. The Shahpur region is preparing to welcome its courageous son with the honor and gratitude he deserves.
