In an exhilarating conclusion to the WTT Feeder Series 2026, held at the SAMA Indoor Sports Complex, top seed Manush Shah and Korea's Ryu Hanna emerged victorious in the men's and women's singles categories, respectively, on Sunday.
This inaugural event in Vadodara, organized by the Table Tennis Association of Baroda and supported by the Sports Authority of Gujarat, showcased thrilling matches as per the WTT announcement.
Men's Singles: Manush Shah's Remarkable Comeback
Facing a challenging start, Manush Shah found himself down two games against Payas Jain in the final. However, he displayed remarkable composure, rallying back to secure the title with scores of 7-11, 10-12, 11-6, 11-6, and 11-8.
Ryu Hanna's Dominance in Women's Singles
The women's singles final was decisively won by Ryu Hanna, who defeated qualifier Anusha with a scoreline of 11-6, 11-6, 11-5. Additionally, Ryu claimed a second title by partnering with Yoo Yerin to overcome India's leading doubles team, Ayhika Mukherjee and Sutirtha Mukherjee, in a thrilling match that ended 4-11, 11-9, 11-9, 4-11, 11-9.
Payas Jain's Double Trophy Achievement
Despite falling short in the singles final, Payas Jain left Vadodara with two trophies. He first partnered with Syndrela Das to defeat the second-seeded duo of Harmeet Desai and Yashaswini Ghorpade in the mixed doubles final, winning 6-11, 11-9, 11-3, 11-6. Jain then teamed up with Ankur Bhattacharjee to clinch the men's doubles title against Aakash Pal and Mudit Dani, with scores of 12-10, 11-7, 7-11, 11-8.
