Campaign Celebrates 150th Anniversary of Vande Mataram

Initiated in 2022 as part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign has evolved into a national tradition, with millions of citizens voluntarily hoisting the national flag each Independence Day.

This year's campaign holds special significance as it aligns with the 150th anniversary of India's National Song, Vande Mataram, creating a unique celebration of patriotism that intertwines the national flag and song.

Mass singing of Vande Mataram will be a key feature of the Har Ghar Tiranga celebrations nationwide. To assist citizens in learning the correct rendition of the song, the Ministry of Culture has created a five-step online tutorial, accessible on the dedicated website and the Har Ghar Tiranga portal. Additionally, the selfie feature this year will include the lyrics and melody of Vande Mataram, while exhibitions will highlight the history of the national song.
