Drone Usage Restricted in Mangaluru
In Mangaluru, Karnataka, authorities have enacted an immediate ban on the use of all types of drones, including their operation and video recording, to maintain peace and order. This information was confirmed by a police official on Saturday.
According to an order issued by the police commissioner's office, the ban will be in effect from 4 PM on May 10 until 4 PM on May 14. The decision was made under Rule 24 of the Drone Rules, 2021, considering the current circumstances and to prevent any incidents that could disrupt public peace and law.
All police station heads in Mangaluru have been instructed to ensure strict compliance with this order in their respective jurisdictions and to take necessary measures to prevent the use of drones.
