Mandi to Host Grand Spiritual Gathering for Baba's Centenary Celebration

A significant spiritual event is scheduled for September 26-27, honoring the teachings of Baba centered on love, service, peace, and universal brotherhood, with participation expected from numerous devotees and 408 esteemed deities.

The historic town of Mandi, renowned for its rich spiritual heritage, is preparing to host a momentous two-day event to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Titled ‘Dev Samagam – a divine expression of gratitude’, this gathering aims to celebrate spirituality, collective prayer, devotion, and selfless service. It will also mark the conclusion of a 50-day divine journey undertaken by Sri Sathya Sai Prem Pravahinis across Himachal Pradesh, aimed at spreading Baba’s message of love and service.

Organizers have stated that this gathering in Mandi is designed to honor the spiritual traditions and divine heritage of Himachal Pradesh, uniting devotees, spiritual seekers, and service volunteers.

A highlight of the event will be the involvement of 408 revered deities, showcasing the unique Dev Sanskriti of Himachal Pradesh. The organizers believe that the presence and blessings of these deities will enhance the spiritual significance of the gathering for attendees.

The two-day event will emphasize the core values associated with Sri Sathya Sai Baba, including truth, righteousness, peace, love, compassion, and selfless service. His teachings advocate for the unity of humanity and the belief that serving others is a vital aspect of spiritual practice.

Additionally, the event will promote Baba’s broader message of universal brotherhood, emphasizing the idea of one human family, a universal language of the heart, and a singular Divine presence.

The 50-day Sri Sathya Sai Prem Pravahini journey in Himachal Pradesh has been a crucial part of the centenary celebrations. Five Prem Pravahinis, carrying Baba’s message, traveled from Prashanti Nilayam in Andhra Pradesh to various regions of India, with the Himachal Pradesh segment focusing on spreading love, service, and human unity.

According to the organizers, this journey aimed to inspire individuals to incorporate love, selfless service, and righteous living into their daily lives.

The program also recognizes the contributions of devotees, volunteers, spiritual workers, and supporters who played a role in advancing the divine journey throughout Himachal Pradesh.

Mandi, often referred to as Mandavya Nagari and ‘Chhoti Kashi’, has been selected as the venue for this concluding spiritual gathering. The town’s long-standing Dev tradition and spiritual legacy make it an ideal location for an event centered on gratitude, devotion, and universal welfare.

The two-day Dev Samagam aims to convey a broader message: spirituality should extend beyond mere prayer and manifest through compassion, service, and societal concern.
