The Premier League initiated these charges against Manchester City in February 2023 after a four-year investigation into alleged financial misconduct spanning nine years, from 2009 to 2018. The case was examined by an independent panel at the International Dispute Resolution Centre in London, with hearings starting in September 2024 and concluding in December after 12 weeks of discussions. The Premier League's allegations focus on claims that City did not provide "accurate financial information that reflects the true financial status of the club."
