Man Killed in Jharkhand Over Cattle Theft Allegations

A man was brutally murdered in Jharkhand's Godda district, allegedly over accusations of cattle theft. This information was confirmed by a police official on Thursday.

The victim, identified as 45-year-old Pappu Ansari, was a resident of Ranipur village, located within the jurisdiction of the Pathargama police station.

The incident took place on Wednesday night in the village of Matiyani, under the Poraiyahaat police station area, where Ansari was attacked and killed by unidentified individuals.

Deputy Superintendent of Police JP N Chaudhary stated that the deceased had a criminal history and had previously served time in jail multiple times. He mentioned that an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and to identify those involved.
