Man Arrested for Attempted Sexual Assault on Elderly Woman in Kerala

A case has been filed against an individual for attempting to sexually assault an elderly woman in her home in the Palakkad district of Kerala. This information was confirmed by the police on Sunday.

The incident occurred in the Alathur area, where a 64-year-old woman was living alone in her dilapidated house. The accused reportedly broke into her residence early Friday morning and attempted to assault her.

Identified as Suresh, a resident of Porulippadam, the suspect is allegedly affiliated with a political party.

According to police officials, "Based on the complaint, the accused forcibly entered the home and attempted to sexually assault the woman. When she resisted, he also attacked her."

The victim reported that she managed to push the assailant away and fled to a nearby house for safety. Authorities have located Suresh and plan to arrest him soon. Charges have been filed against him under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including attempted sexual assault and attempted murder.
