Shooting Incident in Seelampur

A 38-year-old man was taken into custody on Saturday in Seelampur, Northeast Delhi, following an alleged shooting incident that stemmed from a parking dispute with his brother. According to police reports, the altercation occurred around 1:15 AM on Friday.


The suspect has been identified as Mohammad Shahid. The victim, Imran, aged 33, informed investigators that his brother had parked his car near their residence, which he objected to.


The disagreement escalated, leading Shahid to reportedly fire a shot before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the gunfire.


A senior police official stated that a case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Arms Act. Forensic teams have examined the site and collected evidence, including ballistic samples.


Authorities successfully apprehended Shahid in the vicinity. The police are currently working to locate the weapon used in the crime, and the investigation is ongoing.
