Mamata Banerjee's Rally Ahead of Bengal Elections
On April 29, as the second phase of voting approaches in West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee passionately campaigned for the Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Monday. She expressed confidence that the victory of 'Maa-Mati-Manush' is no longer a matter of speculation but merely a question of time. During her foot march on Sunday, she thanked the public for their "tremendous enthusiasm and genuine warmth." In a detailed post on the microblogging platform X, the three-time Chief Minister reminded everyone that Bengal has always symbolized harmony, culture, and civilizational pride. She emphasized that there is no place in the state for divisive and destructive forces, referring to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which she accused of plotting to tarnish Bengal's legacy.
Banerjee's Call to Action
Banerjee asserted that the BJP will receive the response it deserves. The TMC leader highlighted that the pace of development has reached every corner of the state, and no negative force can halt this progress. She further stated that the welfare schemes initiated for the people's benefit serve as a protective shield for the citizens of Bengal, and no power in the world has the right to take them away. Contesting the 2026 elections from her Bhawanipur constituency, Banerjee expressed her firm belief that the people of Bengal will continue to stand for the state's "development, peace, and progress."
A Plea for Unity
In her appeal to the citizens, Banerjee urged everyone, regardless of caste, creed, religion, or background, to press the button marked with the 'Joraphool' symbol on April 29 and ensure a resounding victory for all 'Maa-Mati-Manush' candidates. This post on X came on the last day of campaigning for the second and final phase of elections, following a successful first phase on April 23, where over 93 percent of voters participated.
