Mamata Banerjee to Address Business Conference 2025 in West Bengal
Upcoming Business Conference in West Bengal
On December 17, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is set to address over 12,000 traders at the 'Business Conference 2025' in West Bengal. To facilitate discussions with industry representatives, a business meeting is also scheduled for December 18.
This 'Business Conference 2025' holds significant importance as the Trinamool Congress-led state government aims to garner support from various sectors, including small businesses, ahead of the 2026 assembly elections.
Sushil Poddar, president of the Confederation of West Bengal Trade Associations (CWBTA), announced that Banerjee will be the chief guest at the event. This will provide the Chief Minister with an opportunity to connect with thousands of small traders who are vital to Bengal's supply chain.
Poddar remarked, 'Traders create livelihood opportunities for over one crore people directly and indirectly in West Bengal. We hope the Chief Minister will prioritize easing business operations and addressing grassroots challenges.' Delegations from all 23 districts, including major commercial hubs and border trade centers, are expected to participate in this event.
