Mamata Banerjee's Appeal for Parliamentary Session

On Friday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee urged the central government to convene a special session of Parliament following the return of all-party delegations that have been visiting various countries as part of India's global initiative against terrorism.


The leader of the Trinamool Congress emphasized the importance of keeping the citizens informed about recent conflicts and emerging global developments. In a post on 'X', she expressed her satisfaction with the ongoing international visits by these delegations, stating, “As I have consistently mentioned, the Trinamool Congress stands firmly with any measures taken by the center to protect national interests and our sovereignty.”


Mamata further stated, “I urge the central government to call a special session of Parliament upon the safe return of the delegation, as I believe the people of this great nation have the right to be informed first about the recent conflicts and the events that have arisen from them.”
