Major Terror Plot Foiled in Uttar Pradesh: Police Officials Suspended
Bijnor Police's Oversight Exposed
Bijnor News: In Uttar Pradesh, while the UP ATS successfully thwarted a significant terrorist plot aimed at causing chaos in Lucknow, a shocking lapse within the UP police system has come to light. The Bijnor police had previously closed a case against a terrorist network, which has now resurfaced with plans to disrupt the signaling system in Lucknow, potentially leading to a catastrophic train accident. As a result, the negligent officer, Station House Officer Satendra Malik, has been suspended, and Nazeebabad's Circle Officer Nitesh Pratap Singh has been removed from his position.
Arrests Made in Connection with the Plot
Recently, the UP ATS apprehended four suspects, including Saqib alias Devil, Arbab, Vikas alias Raunak from Gautam Buddh Nagar, and Lokesh alias Papla Pandit, who were plotting to detonate explosives at the Lucknow railway station and disable the signaling system to trigger a major rail disaster.
During interrogation, it was revealed that the mastermind behind this operation is Aaqib Khan, who is currently in Dubai. He facilitated contact between these individuals and Pakistani handlers through Instagram and Telegram. Alarmingly, Aaqib had been previously exonerated by the Bijnor police, who deemed him innocent.
The Shocking Video Call Incident
The roots of this case trace back to a video call in November 2025, where Aaqib Khan was seen brandishing an AK-47 and a hand grenade. This video, which went viral, led to the filing of an FIR against Aaqib and another individual named Majul, who runs a salon in South Africa.
The investigation was assigned to the then Station House Officer Satendra Singh Malik, who allegedly colluded with the suspects. He recorded Aaqib's statement during the video call, claiming that the AK-47 was merely a plastic toy and the grenade was a perfume bottle. Instead of probing deeper into the terrorist network, the police accepted the suspects' claims and closed the case.
Connections to ISI and Further Investigations
Further investigations revealed that Abuza Shami Rayan, linked to this terrorist nexus, had committed a significant crime in Kiratpur, Bijnor, on March 4, where he set fire to a vehicle marked with communal slogans. He recorded this act and sent the footage to his handlers in Pakistan, receiving a mere five thousand rupees in return from an ISI handler in Dubai.
ADG Law and Order Amitabh Yash highlighted the importance of the viral video call in identifying the gang's connections, confirming that Saqib was involved with Aaqib and Majul.
Consequences for Bijnor Police
Following the arrests in Lucknow and the re-emergence of Aaqib's name in old Bijnor police files, there was a significant uproar at police headquarters. Bijnor SP Abhishek Jha promptly suspended the negligent officer Satendra Malik and removed Nitesh Pratap Singh for failing to monitor the situation effectively. Both officials are now under departmental investigation.
This incident raises serious questions about the operational integrity of the UP police. Had the Bijnor police taken the AK-47 and the video call seriously, the major plot in Lucknow could have been dismantled months earlier. Currently, the ATS is interrogating the detained suspects to uncover further links within this terror network extending between Dubai and Pakistan.
