As tensions rise in the Middle East, concerns about the supply of petroleum products are escalating globally. In a shocking incident, a truck loaded with LPG cylinders was reported stolen in Jhansi, causing widespread alarm.

Details of the Theft

The truck, which was carrying approximately 524 filled LPG cylinders valued at around 1.8 million rupees, was stolen from the Sipri Bazaar police jurisdiction. Following a complaint from the truck owner, the police have initiated an investigation against unidentified thieves.

Truck's Journey

According to the truck owner, Neeraj Agarwal, the vehicle, registered as UP 93 BT 3341, was linked to the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited plant located in Karari. On March 2, the truck was loaded with 524 LPG cylinders intended for delivery to the Gazner area in Kanpur Dehat.

Truck Found Abandoned

Reports indicate that due to the Holi festival, the driver, Rajkumar, parked the truck outside the plant and went home. On March 6, it was discovered abandoned on the highway near Paricha in the Badgaon police area. Upon arrival, the owner found that all the gas cylinders were missing and the truck's GPS had been tampered with.

Police Investigation Underway

Following this, the truck owner promptly filed a complaint at the Sipri Bazaar police station. The police have registered a case and are reviewing footage from nearby CCTV cameras. According to Station Officer Jayprakash Choubey, a case has been filed against unknown individuals. The truck has been recovered, and separate teams have been deployed to locate the stolen gas cylinders. Authorities are optimistic about identifying the culprits soon, and a thorough investigation is ongoing.
