This decision was made during the inaugural core group meeting of the newly elected Governing Body, which took place online on May 2, chaired by Engineer K.S. Established in 2018, the Rajput Mahasabha Himachal Pradesh serves as a non-political, state-level registered platform that unites over 20 district and regional Rajput associations. Its mission is to advocate for the welfare and interests of the Rajput community throughout the state.

During the meeting, Chairman K.S. Jamwal provided insights into a recent dialogue with the Chief Minister, addressing significant issues such as the revival of the Rajput Welfare Board and the creation of a General Category Commission.

A proposal from General Secretary Vijay Chandel to incorporate the presidents and general secretaries of all affiliated district and regional Rajput associations as executive members of the Governing Body received unanimous approval.

Professor Sarial stressed the importance of extending the Mahasabha's reach to village and panchayat levels to foster unity among Rajputs for community welfare. He also outlined plans to establish units in educational institutions to raise awareness among Rajput students regarding their rights, particularly concerning merit-based discrimination and scholarships.

Additionally, it was agreed that the Governing Body would conduct regular monthly meetings across various districts to maintain engagement and grassroots participation.

The meeting saw the participation of several notable members, including Dr. A.S. Guleria, Dr. K.S. Minhas, Engineer D.S. Dattwalia, Dr. Ramesh Minhas, Mr. Anil Thakur, and Mr. Dhyan Singh Dhattwalia.
