A significant fire has erupted at a factory located in Bairagarh, Madhya Pradesh. Emergency fire engines have been dispatched to the site, and efforts to control the blaze are currently in progress.


Tragic Explosion in Telangana

8 fatalities and 26 injuries reported from chemical factory explosion


In a separate incident, a devastating explosion at a chemical factory in the Pasamailaram Phase 1 area of Telangana's Sangareddy district resulted in the deaths of at least eight individuals and left 26 others injured. Rescue operations are actively ongoing, according to local police.


Inspector General V Satyanaryana stated, "The explosion occurred at Sigachi Pharma around 8:15-9:35 AM. The police were alerted within ten minutes, and our team arrived within twenty minutes. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Force (SDF), and other rescue teams, along with ten fire engines, were deployed to the scene. So far, six bodies have been recovered, and two additional fatalities occurred during treatment at Chanda Nagar. In total, there are eight confirmed deaths and 26 injuries, with two or three individuals in critical condition. The government is ensuring that all necessary medical assistance is provided. At the time of the incident, there were 150 workers on shift, with 90 present in the explosion area. Firefighting efforts are still ongoing, and we will provide more updates as they become available."


In response to the tragedy, BJP MLA Payal Shankar has called for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the explosion.


Shankar emphasized, "The state government must ensure proper medical care for the injured. We need to understand how this incident occurred and who is responsible. Were safety measures adequately enforced? An explosion in a densely populated area could have led to even greater casualties. An investigation is essential." Minister Damodar Raja Narsimha has also visited the site to assess the situation.


Officials reported that numerous workers sustained injuries due to the explosion at the chemical facility.
