In a notable achievement during a dedicated anti-narcotics initiative, the CIA team from Police District Nurpur successfully apprehended two suspects. This operation took place at a checkpoint where the officers acted promptly to stop a vehicle.



  1. Robin (33 years) – Hailing from Nainikhad village, Post Office Nainikhad, Tehsil Bhatiyat, District Chamba.

  2. Yusuf (24 years) – Residing in Chadiara village, Post Office Bat, Tehsil & District Chamba.


The operation unfolded near the Sakri Khad cremation ground (Rehan). During a routine inspection, police stopped an Alto car (registration number HP 47A 2812). Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered 1.210 kg of charas in the possession of the suspects. Both the narcotics and the vehicle were confiscated at the scene.


A case has been filed under the NDPS Act at the Police Station Rehan, and an investigation is currently underway. Authorities are exploring both previous and subsequent connections to uncover the origins of this drug supply chain and dismantle the associated network.
