In a significant operation against the illicit drug trade, authorities from the CIA Team Nurpur apprehended two suspects in possession of 41.40 grams of heroin, commonly referred to as chitta.
Demonstrating their dedication to dismantling drug trafficking networks, the CIA team executed a search warrant at a residence located in Village Bhadroya. During the search, they discovered a packet hidden beneath a sewing machine stand, which upon inspection was confirmed to contain 41.40 grams of heroin, promptly seized by law enforcement.
Details of the Arrested Individuals:
- Vanita Devi (43), spouse of Shri Darbari Lal, residing in Ward No. 03, Bhadroya, Tehsil Indora, District Kangra.
- Aman (24), son of Shri Darbari Lal, also a resident of Ward No. 03, Bhadroya, Tehsil Indora, District Kangra.
A case has been filed against the suspects at the Damtal Police Station under the relevant provisions of the NDPS Act. Investigators are currently working to trace the origins of this drug shipment and uncover the broader network involved.
The Nurpur Police have reiterated their commitment to intensifying efforts against narcotics and have called on the community to assist by reporting any information related to drug-related activities.
