Police Uncover Illegal Drug Manufacturing Unit
Authorities in Madhya Pradesh's Agar Malwa district have successfully dismantled an illegal facility producing narcotics, seizing methamphetamine valued at approximately 10 crore rupees. This operation was confirmed by officials on Saturday.
The illicit factory was located about 20 kilometers from the district headquarters, near a farmhouse along the Indore-Kota national highway. Mukesh Khatri, the superintendent of the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) in Ujjain, reported that they received intelligence indicating that methamphetamine was being manufactured at the Tirth Herbal Nursery farmhouse in Amla village, with expectations of a significant delivery.
A joint team from Ujjain, Jawra, and Neemuch units arrived at the scene around 4 AM to secure the area and initiate a search operation. However, by 10 AM, no individuals had arrived to collect the shipment.
During the search, authorities confiscated 31.25 kilograms of methamphetamine, estimated to be worth around 10 crore rupees in the international market. Additionally, approximately 600 kilograms of chemicals used in drug production were seized. Khatri and another CNB official, V.S. Kumar, mentioned that several suspects have been detained, and an investigation is currently underway.
