Significant Drug Seizure in Sundernagar

In a significant operation, law enforcement in Sundernagar, Himachal Pradesh, seized approximately 61.2 kilograms of opium and apprehended two individuals from Punjab. This information was disclosed by the police on Sunday.


Authorities had set up a checkpoint at Alsu Chowk, where they stopped a vehicle that was found to be carrying the illegal substance. The police reported that the two occupants of the vehicle were swiftly arrested, identified as Kuldeep Singh from Moga and Rampal from Ludhiana.


Saakshi Verma, the Superintendent of Police in Mandi, stated that both suspects have been charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
