Significant Drug Seizure in Odisha


Bhubaneswar: Authorities in Odisha have successfully confiscated 319 grams of brown sugar valued at Rs 31 lakh and apprehended an individual linked to drug trafficking, as reported by police on Wednesday.


Acting on a reliable tip-off, a specialized team from the crime branch's special task force (STF) executed a raid along the banks of the Kuakhai River, located on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, on Tuesday, where they discovered the narcotics in the suspect's possession.


The detained drug dealer hails from Bhubaneswar.


Additionally, law enforcement officials have seized a motorcycle that was utilized by the suspect. Following the arrest, the individual has been presented before the district judge's court in Khurda, Bhubaneswar.


This suspect has a prior record, having been implicated in two earlier cases at the Badagada and Balianta police stations.
