Bus Loses Control in Mumbai
On Friday, a significant road accident occurred in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, when a bus lost control and collided with multiple vehicles, resulting in several injuries. This incident took place in the Andheri West area, known as the financial hub of the country. The bus involved was operated by the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST). Due to the sudden loss of control, the bus crashed into at least 14 vehicles, including eight to ten auto-rickshaws. Reports indicate that at least two to three individuals sustained injuries and were promptly taken to a hospital for treatment.
Driver's Statement and Ongoing Investigation
Following the incident, the driver of the BEST bus reported that the brakes had failed, which led to the loss of control and the subsequent crash. Local police and officials quickly arrived at the scene to initiate rescue operations. Authorities have stated that further information will be provided after a thorough investigation.
