Significant Changes in Uttar Pradesh Administration
In a sweeping bureaucratic reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government has transferred 14 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and 6 Uttar Pradesh Civil Service (PCS) officials overnight on May 19. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's administration executed this significant change in the state's bureaucracy.
This reshuffle includes several key officials and district magistrates. The district magistrates of Pilibhit, Ballia, Hardoi, and Maharajganj have been reassigned, along with the Chief Development Officers (CDOs) of Siddharthnagar and Bulandshahr. Notably, senior IAS officer and Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar has been given additional responsibilities as the Commissioner of Agricultural Production, a role previously held by Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh.
Other Transfers
1. Jayendra Kumar, the CDO of Siddharthnagar, will now serve dual roles as the CEO of the Ayodhya Pilgrimage Development Council and the Municipal Commissioner.
2. Mrinalini Avinash Joshi, the former Joint Magistrate of Gorakhpur, will take over as the CDO of Siddharthnagar, succeeding Jayendra.
3. Sanjay Kumar Singh, the outgoing DM of Pilibhit, has been appointed as the Special Secretary of the Culture Department and Director of Religious Affairs.
4. Apurva Dubey, Vice Chairperson of the Aligarh Development Authority, has been designated as the Director of SUDA (State Urban Development Agency).
5. Kuldeep Meena, the current CDO of Bulandshahr, will replace Dubey in Aligarh.
Transfers at the PCS Level
1. Prakash Chandra, ADM Protocol and Law & Order in Varanasi, has been transferred to ADM Judicial in Hathras.
2. Shiv Narayan, ADM Judicial in Hathras, will now serve as ADM Judicial in Bagpat.
3. Vineet Kumar Singh, ADM Finance and Revenue in Gorakhpur, has been reassigned to ADM City in Ghaziabad.
4. Himanshu Verma, City Magistrate of Gorakhpur, has been promoted to ADM Finance and Revenue in Gorakhpur.
5. Utkarsh Srivastava, SDM of Sant Kabir Nagar, has been transferred to the position of City Magistrate in Gorakhpur.
6. Alankaar Agnihotri, Assistant Municipal Commissioner in Lucknow, has been appointed as City Magistrate in Bareilly.
