NIA Takes Action in Bomb Explosion Incident

New Delhi: On Sunday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended a key suspect linked to the bomb explosion incident in West Bengal, which resulted in one fatality and left three individuals critically injured last month.

The suspect, identified as Ahidul Islam Molla from the Bijoyganj Bazar region in South 24 Parganas district, was taken into custody after a thorough investigation into his involvement in the blast that occurred in Dakshin Bamunia village, according to an official statement from the NIA.

Investigations by the NIA have indicated that Molla played a significant role as a co-conspirator in the incident, which included bomb-making activities and efforts to eliminate evidence, the statement revealed.

The explosives detonated during their assembly as part of the conspiracy, resulting in the death of one of the individuals implicated in the crime, the agency noted.

Previously, local police in West Bengal had also arrested another suspect connected to this case.
