Major Blaze at Mercedes Workshop in Jaipur Destroys Multiple Vehicles

Jaipur, September 23: A large fire erupted at a Mercedes workshop located in Balaji Market, Jaipur, resulting in the destruction of approximately eight cars along with valuable spare parts and accessories.
The smoke from the fire was so thick that it could be seen from a distance of nearly five kilometers. The incident occurred late on Tuesday night.
This workshop is under the jurisdiction of the Sanganer Sadar police station. Upon receiving reports of the fire, police and fire brigade teams quickly arrived at the scene to combat the flames. As a precautionary measure, the power supply to the nearby area was cut off to prevent the fire from spreading further.
At the time of the fire, over 50 vehicles, both new and old, were parked at the workshop.
The fierce flames consumed around eight vehicles before firefighters managed to bring the situation under control. Thanks to the quick actions of firefighters and police personnel, several other cars were successfully moved out of the workshop, averting even greater damage.
Fire Officer Usha Sharma reported that around 10 fire tenders were dispatched to tackle the blaze. These tenders made over two dozen trips while battling the fire for nearly two hours. Sanganer Sadar SHO Kamlesh Sharma confirmed that multiple vehicles were safely evacuated during the operation.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or fatalities due to this incident.
Initial investigations indicate that a short circuit may have caused the fire, although the precise cause has yet to be officially determined. Police and fire officials are currently evaluating the extent of the damage to the vehicles, spare parts, and other materials within the workshop.

Earlier that same day, another fire broke out at a mall near Narayan Singh Circle in Jaipur around 2 p.m., causing panic among shoppers. The mall's electricity was immediately shut off after the fire was detected, and two fire tenders arrived to control the situation within approximately 30 minutes.
