The ruling coalition in Maharashtra has showcased its political influence by winning six out of the 17 seats in the local authority constituencies of the Legislative Council without contest. Voting for the remaining 11 seats is scheduled for Thursday, June 19, with the counting of votes set for June 22, according to the election commission's timeline.


Details of Uncontested Wins

Among the uncontested victories, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shiv Sena, and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) each secured two seats. As per the seat-sharing agreement within the coalition, the BJP fielded candidates for 11 seats, while Shiv Sena and NCP contested for four and two seats, respectively.
