CJP Founder Critiques Government's Handling of Exams

New Delhi: Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), expressed serious concerns on Saturday regarding the recent leak of the Maharashtra Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) paper, highlighting the government's ongoing failure to maintain the integrity of competitive exams. He called for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

During a press briefing, Dipke pointed out that the cancellation of the TET, which was set to occur just a day after the leak was discovered, is reminiscent of the earlier NEET controversy. The Maharashtra TET was postponed after parts of the exam paper were allegedly leaked, resulting in the arrest of three individuals from Bhiwandi and the dismantling of an inter-state syndicate.

He remarked, "First NEET, now the Maharashtra TET exam has been compromised and called off at the last moment. Students and educators have been voicing concerns about TET scams since 2017, yet the authorities seem more inclined to lead our youth into a dead end rather than rectify the system."

Dipke further criticized the BJP government, stating, "The TET paper leak in Maharashtra illustrates that the government is incapable of conducting any examination, whether at the state or national level. Their focus appears to be on dismantling political parties and enticing MLAs and MPs instead."

He also raised questions about the funding sources for political activities, asking, "Where is the money coming from to purchase MPs?"

The CJP, which began as a digital satire platform, has been staging a sit-in at Jantar Mantar since June 20, demanding Pradhan's resignation due to alleged examination irregularities and the NEET paper leak.

Dipke urged the government to prioritize the future of the youth and encouraged students to voice their concerns regarding these issues.

In a show of solidarity, educationist and environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk is set to join the protest at Jantar Mantar starting Sunday and will initiate an indefinite fast.

Additionally, Dipke announced the launch of a nationwide campaign titled 'Pradhan Go Back,' inviting students, parents, educators, farmer groups, and civil society organizations to participate in the protest scheduled for June 28.
