The campaign for the municipal elections in Maharashtra is concluding today. Prior to this, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis conducted a road show in Nagpur. The event was marked by tight security as the Chief Minister participated on a motorcycle. The road show commenced at Bharat Mata Chowk, passing through various locations before concluding near the Shivaji statue in the Mahal area. CM Fadnavis stated that the Mahayuti alliance will elect the mayor in Mumbai. The route of the road show was lavishly decorated, particularly at Badkas Chowk in Nagpur. The RSS headquarters is located approximately 200 meters from this spot, and just before the Chief Minister's event, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's convoy also traversed the same route.
The entire route of the road show in Nagpur was adorned with impressive decorations. Prominent posters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP National President, the party's working president, and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, along with CM Devendra Fadnavis and other senior leaders, were prominently displayed. BJP flags were seen waving throughout the area, and many locations were decorated with balloons. Fadnavis also addressed a gathering, expressing confidence in the Mahayuti's victory across all municipal corporations in the state.
During the 'Grand Road Show' held today in Nagpur for the municipal elections, CM Fadnavis addressed the public, highlighting the achievements and changes brought about by the BJP-Mahayuti coalition that the citizens of Nagpur have witnessed. He criticized the opposition for their lack of development initiatives, claiming they only make hollow promises. Therefore, he expressed strong confidence that they would win all municipal elections.
