Following a decisive victory in the local body elections in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized that the alliance has effectively eliminated the Maha Vikas Aghadi from the state. Speaking at an event in Nagpur, Fadnavis asserted that nearly 75% of the municipal corporation presidents were elected from the Mahayuti alliance, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi managed to secure only 50 seats. He declared that the BJP has emerged as the leading party in the election results, with the Mahayuti alliance electing 75% of the municipal council presidents. In contrast, the Maha Vikas Aghadi only elected 50 presidents, whereas the Mahayuti secured 210. "We have completely wiped out the Maha Vikas Aghadi. The BJP's strike rate is the highest, with 65% of the elected presidents from our party," he stated.

Fadnavis further revealed that the Mahayuti alliance has elected 3,000 councillors, with 48% belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party, marking a record achievement. He stressed that the public has once again shown trust in the NDA government and Prime Minister Modi's development agenda and confidence-building efforts. "This year, around 3,000 councillors have been elected, with 48% being from the BJP. This is a record.
